Do You Have Time to Practice?

Wow we’re already nearing the end of January!

Exams are right around the corner and I’d say it’s definitely time to start practicing with those BJC & BGCSE exam past papers. Starting now allows you to test how much you know and give you an idea of what you need to work on.

Do you have enough papers on hand already? If not, you’re in luck because we’ve made a few updates on The Student Shed.

Fats with lots of saturated fatty acids are generally solid at room temperature and those with mainly unsaturated fatty acids are liquid.
Fats from animal sources have higher amounts of saturated fatty acids and therefore are solid.

Any object when thrown into a liquid medium will float or sink depending upon its relative density. 
An object with a density lower or equal to that of liquid medium will float while the one with a density higher then the liquid medium will sink.

Fat-Soluble vitamins are the ones that are soluble in organic solvents and are absorbed and transported in the body in the manner of fats. Fat-soluble vitamins can also be stored in fat tissues and liver cells and utilized when needed. These include Vitamin A, D, E, and K.
