Whether you’ve been subscribed to The Student Shed for years, or you’re new to the community, today I have some exciting new updates, to share with you.
After months of research and hard work, I’m happy to share with you what’s new in our BJC & BGCSE online courses.
So let’s get started.
Improved Course Skin
Here we are on our course page, and if you’ve used our courses in the past, this will look a lot different to you.
We’ve given our courses a visual makeover. You can more easily track your course progress and enjoy a smoother learning experience.
Distraction Free Learning
We also know that sometimes working online can be a little distracting. And our goal is to help you finish what you’ve started by completing your studies and obtaining your high school diploma.
To do that, you’ll need lots of focus when working online.
So to help, we’ve set up a distraction free learning mode for your courses.
In this distraction free mode, you have the option to view your entire course in full screen, therefore eliminating the temptation to click away from your lesson.
You can keep your course navigation on the left hand side of your page or toggle it to and have a full screen uninterrupted learning experience.
Our third major update includes the addition of quizzes to all subjects. Once you’ve viewed a video lesson, you can now check your knowledge and see how well you’ve understood the topic.
Best of all, these quizzes are automatically graded so you get your results immediately.
And to ensure that you never get bored, the quiz question types range from single choice, multiple choice, drag and drop, sorting, fill in the blanks and even essay questions.
Once you’ve completed the quizzes, head on over to your profile page and see how many points you’ve earned.
Optionally if you’re feeling competitive, you can enter your quiz results in the leaderboard, and see how well you’ve done compared to other students in your course.
Another update involves how you manage your assignments. Do you need your assignments reviewed and marked? That’s not a problem.
Now you can easily upload your assignments directly from your lesson page and we’ll review it and send it back to you through your course.
And for our final update, if you want to review your work offline, you can now download the slides from each and every lesson, save it to your computer or print it to review later.
So those are our latest course updates, and we hope you’re excited to keep learning because we intend to keep improving our courses over the next few months.
So let us know what you think, or if you’re not yet a member, join The Student Shed and get involved in our online learning community.
