This is a crazy important time.
Why?
Because the national exams have started and many of you are experiencing a crucial life impacting event.
Here’s what I mean…
✳️ If you’re looking to get a Bahamas high school diploma, then you need to pass your BJC exams.
✳️ If you’re looking to attend college, most require BGCSE exam passes.
✳️ If you’re about to get a job here in the Bahamas after graduation, yep that’s right, employers are asking for BGCSE exam passes.
Needless to say, this is an important time and it represents something more than just passing exams, it represents your future.
When I started The Student Shed in 2011, it was because I wanted to make it easy for students to “get these exams done and over with”.
I believe that the exams are important because for many it represents a sort of gateway that students must pass through in order to enter the rest of their lives successfully and productively.
Too many people struggle because they haven’t been able to successfully pass through that gateway. I won’t go into detail (in this post) on my opinion as to why the struggle was there; but I will say that I noticed that information was scattered and not readily available to the masses.
That information needed to be openly available so that students could have a fighting chance of passing these exams and moving on with their lives.
It’s 11 years into it and that’s what we’ve been trying to do here at the Student Shed
